Defend your own king and outlast the other three sides. A player is eliminated when their king is lost or
when they are resolved as checkmated by the game.
Board And Turn Order
The game is played on a 4-player cross board.
Turn order is Green, Blue, Red, then Yellow.
Each player has an individual clock.
Special Rules In This Version
Castling is supported when the king and rook have not moved, the path is clear, and the king does
not pass through check.
Entering the central zone can trigger optional promotion for a normal pawn.
When a pawn crosses the center and enters enemy territory, it becomes a zombie pawn.
Reaching the final promotion line allows normal promotion choices.
If only kings remain, the game is a draw.
If two players remain and one side only has a king, the stronger side has 7 moves to force mate or
the game is drawn.
How Zombie Pawns Work
Zombie pawns move and attack with special rules used by this game variant.
They keep the pawn body but show a zombie face so they are easy to spot.
Game Setup
You can choose each player as Human or AI.
You can rename all four players.
You can enable or disable sound before starting.

About Me
I often observed that when two friends played chess, their other companions watched
eagerly, hoping for a chance to jump in with their own strategies. Some hesitated to offer advice, while
others unintentionally revealed plans by suggesting moves or warning about risks. This game solves that
dynamic, eliminating the loneliness of bystanders in a group setting. Quadruple Chess allows everyone to
participate in a truly social format. I've infused it with extra adrenaline and excitement—though not
recommended for those over 74-80, depending on heart condition.

This game is a custom 4-player chess variant with special promotion zones, zombie pawns, clocks, human
and AI player mixing, and arcade-style sound.
